About the album.

Tomorrow's Harvest is the fourth studio album from Boards Of Canada, the Scottish electronic duo of brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin. It is a darker, more foreboding turn, pairing ambient drone with the tape-worn IDM that made their name. The pair wrote, produced and recorded it at their Hexagon Sun studio near the Pentland Hills outside Edinburgh, building it between 2005 and 2012, with some early sketches made in rural New Zealand. Warp released it in June 2013, their first album since The Campfire Headphase eight years earlier. The music draws on the menace of 1970s and 1980s film soundtracks, with themes of isolation and decay running through its seventeen tracks. Its arrival became a story in itself. On Record Store Day 2013, a mystery 12 inch found in a New York shop carried one part of a six-part code. The rest were hidden in broadcasts on BBC Radio 1 and NPR, in a television ad on Adult Swim and across websites, and together they unlocked the album announcement. 'Reach For The Dead' and 'Come To Dust' were the singles, and the album reached number seven on the UK Albums Chart. The duo finally followed it in May 2026 with Inferno. This Warp pressing spreads the album across two LPs and four sides.
