Juicy Records

I built the store I was looking for.

My working life has been in design and creative direction. Music was always part
of the process, music in the studio, music that shaped ideas, moods and entire working days. Juicy Records grew out of that. A curated selection of alternative, indie and leftfield vinyl, chosen for feel, weight and replay value. Australian-owned. Independently operated.

Not everything. Just records that hold up.

Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On (Vinyl 2LP) Record album cover of 'What's Going On' by Marvin Gaye with a close-up of the artist.

Independent vinyl. Thoughtfully curated.

Juicy is shaped by taste, not volume. Every record earns its place in the catalogue. Some are stone-cold essentials. Some are modern records already starting to feel important. Some sit slightly sideways, textured, strange, beautiful or harder to place.

That mix is the point.

The range is designed to feel like a good record shelf: familiar in parts, surprising in others, and always worth digging through.

The Juicy framework.

Juicy is curated through three loose ideas: Backbone, Identity and Accent.

Backbone The foundations. Albums with weight, history and staying power. The records that anchor a shelf and still feel alive years later.

Identity Where Juicy feels most like itself. Alternative, indie, post-punk, modern guitar records and left-of-centre releases with a clear point of view.

Accent The colour and texture. Soul, jazz, ambient, electronic, folk and mood-driven records that stretch the catalogue into more interesting places.

Together, they keep the store balanced. Not too obvious. Not too obscure. Always with a point of view.

Kruder & Dorfmeister - The K&D Sessions (Vinyl 5LP) Record album cover with text 'Kruder Dorfmeister The K&D Sessions' and a blurred background of a person and landscape.

A considered catalogue.

The catalogue stays tight and shifts over time. Alternative, indie, post-punk, electronic, soul, ambient, jazz-leaning records, modern classics and overlooked pieces, all sitting together when they feel connected.

Less about genre. More about feeling.

Records that hold up. Records that change the room. Records that make sense next to
each other.

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher Vinyl LP record cover with a skeletal figure in a red glow against a dark mountainous landscape under a starry sky

Selection over volume.

Juicy is not built to be the biggest record store. It is built to be the most considered. A Radiohead record might sit near Aphex Twin. Sade near Blood Orange. Marvin Gaye near Dijon. Kruder & Dorfmeister near Bon Iver. Not because they sound the same, but because they belong to a similar world of feeling, craft and atmosphere.

A catalogue with taste behind it.

Sourced with intent.

Records are sourced through a mix of distributors, labels, independent channels and, where possible, directly from artists. The aim is to keep a strong core range while making room for records that feel
harder to find, easy to miss or worth putting back in front of people.

Some releases are obvious for a reason. Others need a little context. Juicy exists
somewhere between the two.

From shelf to door.

All records are brand new and factory sealed unless otherwise stated. Orders are packed carefully in purpose-built LP mailers to minimise movement in transit and reduce the risk of damage. The experience should feel considered from the first click to the moment the record lands at your door.

Buying records online should still feel personal.

"Juicy Records is like no other. Great curation, great service, great communication. Just bloody great. Ranked right up there for me — so glad I found you."

Meet Juicy.

Juicy Records is an independent store built by someone who cares about records,
design and the feeling of a well-made thing. Chosen one record at a time. Built slowly. Updated often. Made for people who still believe the right album can shape a day.
