Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong (Vinyl 2LP)
2LP • Recycled Black Vinyl • 20 Page Booklet • Download Code
'Besties' opens bright and bouncing, piano and violin skipping along under a clear, unhurried voice. That sets the tone. Three different singers take turns at the front, and the band rearranges itself around each one. Recorders, banjo and flute turn up where you'd expect guitars. 'The Big Spin' leans on piano and close harmony. 'For The Cold Country' is the long haul, more than six minutes that keep gathering weight. 'Goodbye (Don't Tell Me)' brings it home quietly.

About the album.
Forever Howlong is the third studio album from Black Country, New Road, a baroque indie and art rock record released by Ninja Tune on 4 April 2025.
It is the band's first studio album since the departure of former frontman Isaac Wood. Songwriting and lead vocals are now shared between Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery and May Kershaw, each writing the lyrics for the songs they sing.
James Ford produced the album at Angelic Studios, with Nathan Boddy mixing and Matt Colton mastering at Metropolis. The arrangements lean on piano, strings, recorders and banjo as much as guitar, with drummer Charlie Wayne also playing banjo and tenor recorder. Lead single 'Besties' introduced the new line-up, and 'For The Cold Country' followed as a single.
This standard edition is a double LP on recycled black vinyl in a textured sleeve, with a 20 page booklet and a download code.
If the chamber arrangements here appeal, Grizzly Bear's Yellow House makes a natural companion.
