About the album.

Let There Be Rock is the fourth studio album from Australian hard rock band AC/DC, first released on Albert Productions in March 1977 and reissued here on 180 gram gold vinyl as part of the AC/DC Fifty series. Produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, it features Bon Scott on vocals, Angus and Malcolm Young on guitars, Phil Rudd on drums and Mark Evans on bass, in his last album with the band. All eight songs are credited to Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Scott. This edition uses the tracklist that later became standard worldwide, with a shortened 'Problem Child', originally from Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, in place of the Australian album's 'Crabsody In Blue'. The international sleeve also gave the band's now famous logo its first appearance. 'Dog Eat Dog', 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and the title track were all released as singles, with blues rock running under the riffs throughout. The reissue was remastered from the original master tapes by George Marino at Sterling Sound, and comes with a printed inner sleeve, custom labels and a 30 x 30 cm print featuring new AC/DC anniversary artwork. Powerage followed in 1978, and Highway To Hell rounds out the Bon Scott studio years a year after that.
