About the album.

Highway To Hell is the hard rock album that became Bon Scott's last studio record with AC/DC, first released in July 1979 and reissued here on 180 gram gold vinyl as part of the AC/DC Fifty series. It was the band's first album with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, recorded at Roundhouse Studios in London and mixed at Basing Street Studios, with Angus and Malcolm Young on guitars, Cliff Williams on bass, Phil Rudd on drums and Scott on vocals. Every song is credited to Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Scott. The title track was issued as a single on the same day as the album, followed by 'Girls Got Rhythm' and 'Touch Too Much', while closer 'Night Prowler' leans hard into the blues rock that sits underneath the band's riffs. Scott died in February 1980, just months after its release. Back In Black arrived later that year with Brian Johnson on vocals, and 1978's Powerage is the natural step back for anyone chasing more of the Scott years. This edition was remastered from the original master tapes by George Marino at Sterling Sound, and comes with a printed inner sleeve, custom labels and a 30 x 30 cm print featuring new AC/DC anniversary artwork.
