Wire - Pink Flag
LP • BioVinyl
Twenty-one songs, most of them gone before they outstay a chorus. Wire stripped punk down to its studs, no solos, no fat, just angular hooks and abrupt endings. Released in 1977, it quietly rewired everything that followed, from hardcore to post-punk to Britpop. Still sounds like a manifesto.

About the album.
Pink Flag is the 1977 debut album by English band Wire, recorded at London's Advision Studios with producer Mike Thorne. Across twenty-one tracks, several under a minute, the band pared punk down to sharp, minimal fragments: no guitar solos, no wasted motion, just angular riffs and hard stops. Widely regarded as one of the most influential records of its era, it left its mark on hardcore, post-punk and alternative rock for decades after.
This reissue is pressed on BioVinyl via the band's own Pinkflag label, using the 2006 remaster.
