The National – Trouble Will Find Me (Vinyl 2LP)
2LP • Gatefold
"I Should Live In Salt" opens on acoustic guitar and a baritone sitting low in the mix, the drums entering late and staying brushed. Almost everything here is played quietly and recorded close, with the reverb kept off the voice. "Demons" keeps the verse circling without ever letting it land. "Don't Swallow The Cap" is the one that moves, drums pushing ahead of the vocal the whole way through. "I Need My Girl" circles a single clean guitar figure and never resolves it. "Pink Rabbits" starts on piano and lets the strings gather in behind it. "Hard To Find" closes quiet, the band thinning down to guitar and voice.

About the album.
Trouble Will Find Me is the sixth album by The National, an indie rock record of low baritone vocals, interlocking guitars and drumming that pulls against the beat rather than with it. It was released by 4AD on 17 May 2013, following High Violet from 2010. It was produced by band members Aaron and Bryce Dessner and recorded between September 2012 and February 2013 across several studios, among them Aaron Dessner's Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, New York. Guest contributions come from St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Sufjan Stevens, Doveman, Nona Marie Invie and Richard Reed Parry. "Demons" and "Don't Swallow The Cap" preceded the release, with "Graceless", "Sea Of Love" and "I Need My Girl" following it. The album reached number three on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart, and was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 56th Grammy Awards. It runs thirteen tracks across two LPs.
