About the album.

To Believe is the 2019 album from The Cinematic Orchestra, the London group led by Jason Swinscoe, released by Ninja Tune on 15 March 2019. Swinscoe and Dominic Smith produced and arranged the record together, and both perform on it.

Seven tracks across four sides, with a guest vocalist on five of them: Moses Sumney on the title track, Roots Manuva on "A Caged Bird / Imitations Of Life," Tawiah on "Wait For Now / Leave The World," Grey Reverend on "Zero One / This Fantasy," and Heidi Vogel on the closing "A Promise." The Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, appears on "A Caged Bird / Imitations Of Life," and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson plays strings across the album. Luke Flowers plays drums, with Tom Chant on saxophone and Dennis Hamm on organ and synthesiser.

Tom Elmhirst mixed the album at Electric Lady Studios in New York, and Randy Merrill mastered it at Sterling Sound. Artwork and design are by The Designers Republic, art directed by Ian Anderson. This is the deluxe edition: two 180g discs, one white and one clear, with a download code.
