About the album.
Originally released in 1985, Heyday is the fourth studio album by Australian alternative rock band The Church. Produced by Peter Walsh, the album moved the band into a richer, more atmospheric space, with chiming guitars, layered arrangements and touches of horns and strings.
The record includes “Already Yesterday”, “Tantalised” and “Columbus”, capturing The Church before their later international breakthrough with Starfish. More expansive than the early albums but still beautifully elusive, Heyday remains one of the band’s essential catalogue records.
This 2024 reissue is pressed on 180-gram red vinyl.
