'One By One' sets the pace, loose and unhurried, synth drifting over the groove. 'Outcast At Last' is the jolt, two and a half minutes of restless guitar that breaks the calm. Chilled, but never sleepy. The keys do the heavy lifting, warm synth lines keeping everything swinging. 'Something Strange' brings in a second voice, rapping over the groove. 'No Divide' runs longest, nearly five minutes, and lets the record wind down slow.

About the album.

Westway (The Glitter & The Slums) is the third studio album from Sydney five-piece Sticky Fingers, a laid-back indie rock record released through Sureshaker in September 2016. It debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, the band's first chart-topping album in Australia, and went on to gold certification here and platinum in New Zealand.

Dann Hume, who produced Land Of Pleasure and co-produced their debut Caress Your Soul, returned to produce and mix it. Most of the album was recorded over a month at Karma Sound Studios in Bang Saray, Thailand in early 2016, with 'Something Strange' and 'Amillionite' cut in Sydney. It was mixed at Flightless Bird Studio in Melbourne and mastered at Deluxe Mastering.

The line-up is Dylan Frost on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Paddy Cornwall on bass, Seamus Coyle on lead guitar, Eric da Silva Gruener on drums and Daniel Neurath on keys and synths, whose synth work runs through the whole record. Australian rapper Remi joins on 'Something Strange'. 'Outcast At Last', 'Our Town' and 'Sad Songs' were the singles, and the album was nominated for Triple J's J Award for Australian Album of the Year.

The vinyl arrived in December 2016. Land Of Pleasure is the natural step back for anyone chasing more of their reggae-tinged grooves.
