Radiohead - Kid A
Kid A changed the temperature. Radiohead followed OK Computer by pulling the floor away. Guitars recede. Machines breathe. Voices drift through static, brass, bass, silence and cold light. It confused people for a reason. The songs are still there, but they arrive differently. Everything in Its Right Place opens like a signal from somewhere else. The National Anthem swells into panic. Idioteque turns dread into movement. Difficult, beautiful and completely necessary. A left turn that became the road.

About the album.
Originally released on 2 October 2000, Kid A is a studio album from English band Radiohead. Released through Parlophone, the album followed the huge critical success of OK Computer and marked one of the most significant creative shifts in the band’s catalogue.
Produced by Nigel Godrich and Radiohead, Kid A moved away from the guitar-led sound of the band’s earlier records and drew from electronica, jazz, krautrock, ambient music and experimental rock. Featuring Everything in Its Right Place, The National Anthem, How to Disappear Completely, Optimistic and Idioteque, the album was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Alternative Music Album at the 2001 Grammy Awards.
