About the album.
Originally released on 13 September 2019, Beneath The Eyrie is the seventh studio album from Pixies. Released through Infectious Music, the album continued the band’s post-reunion era with a darker, more gothic edge.
Produced by Tom Dalgety, the album was recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios, a converted church in Hurley, New York. That setting helped shape the record’s shadowed, off-kilter atmosphere.
Featuring In the Arms of Mrs. Mark of Cain, On Graveyard Hill, Catfish Kate, Silver Bullet, St. Nazaire and Death Horizon, the album balances Pixies’ jagged guitar language with noir-like storytelling, strange melodies and a more haunted sense of space.
Beneath The Eyrie is not trying to rewrite the early records. It sits in its own dark corner of the catalogue. Older, stranger and still carrying that Pixies sense that something is about to go sideways.
This edition is a Limited Edition 180g vinyl pressing released through Infectious Music.
