About the album.

Stranger In The Alps is the debut album from Los Angeles singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, released by Dead Oceans on 22 September 2017. It was recorded at Zeitgeist Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska, mixed by Mike Mogis at ARC Studios in Omaha, and mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine.

The record introduced the songs that established Bridgers' name, "Motion Sickness," "Funeral," "Smoke Signals," "Scott Street", built around her voice, guitar and a supporting cast including Marshall Vore on drums, Harrison Whitford on guitar, Rob Moose on string arrangements and Greg Leisz on pedal steel. Conor Oberst and John Doe both appear on vocals, and the second side includes a reading of Mark Kozelek and Jimmy LaValle's "You Missed My Heart" before the closing "Smoke Signals (Reprise)." Artwork is by Angela Deane.

This is the standard black vinyl pressing, packaged with a double-sided lyric sheet insert and a download card.
