Nightmares On Wax - In A Space Outta Sound (Vinyl 2LP)
Double LP • Gatefold • Reissue • Includes Download Code
Bass arrives first, thick and unhurried. Dub delays smear the edges of everything they touch. Organs breathe underneath the beat. Guitars glance off the downbeat and disappear. Voices drift in close and warm, then step back into the haze. Horns cut across the far side. Percussion rattles at the margins without ever raising its voice. The whole record walks rather than runs, heavy on its feet, sunlit at the edges, built for the hours after the room has emptied and the speakers are still humming.

About the album.
In A Space Outta Sound is the fifth studio album by Nightmares On Wax, the long-running project of George Evelyn, and was released by Warp on 7 March 2006. Evelyn is credited across the record as writer, producer and mixer under the name E.A.S.E. Robin Taylor-Firth plays keyboards on eight of the twelve tracks and co-produces Passion, Damn, Me! and I Am You. Dubble D co-produces and plays drums on Pudpots. The guest vocal cast runs deep, with Sara Garvey leading The Sweetest, Ricky Ranking bringing a reggae toast to Flip Ya Lid, and Mozez of Zero 7 taking lead on I Am You alongside four backing vocalists and The Haggis Horns. Earl Tutu contributes guitar and vocals across four tracks, and Shovel plays percussion on Deepdown and I Am You before adding vocals to African Pirates. Mike Pela mixed Damn and I Am You. The album reached number 93 on the UK Albums Chart and number 12 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and was later certified Gold in New Zealand. Andy VanDette mastered the record at Masterdisk, with lacquers cut by John Dent at Loud Mastering. This pressing is Warp's gatefold double LP reissue, catalogue WARPLP133R, made in the EU and packaged with a download code.
