About the album.

Brushfire Fairytales is the debut album by Jack Johnson, a folk rock record of acoustic guitar, forward bass and brushed drums with a blues undertow. It was released on 1 February 2001 through Enjoy Records, the label later renamed Everloving, and was recorded in December 2000. The album was produced by JP Plunier, and the core trio is Johnson on vocals, guitars and piano, Adam Topol on drums and percussion, and Merlo Podlewski on bass. "Flake" and "Bubble Toes" were the singles, and the album has gone on to sell in the millions. This High Def Edition was released on 4 September 2020 as the 20th anniversary reissue, remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes and pressed as an all-analogue AAA cut on HQ-180 vinyl in a gatefold jacket.
