About the album.

Marauder is the sixth album by Interpol, an alternative rock record rooted in the taut, dark post-punk the band has worked in since their debut, but pushed here into a rougher and more saturated sound. It was released by Matador Records on 24 August 2018, following El Pintor from 2014. For the first time since 2007's Our Love to Admire, the band opened the process to an outside producer, working with Dave Fridmann at his Tarbox Road studio in Cassadaga, New York, between December 2017 and April 2018. Fridmann had them skip Pro Tools and record straight to two-inch tape, which accounts for much of how raw the album sounds. "The Rover", "Number 10" and "If You Really Love Nothing" were the singles. The cover photograph is by Gary Winogrand, courtesy of his estate and the Fraenkel Gallery. This is the limited indies exclusive pressing on cream coloured vinyl, with a printed lyric inner sleeve.
