Holy Holy - Hello My Beautiful World (Vinyl LP Clear)
Clear Vinyl • Limited Edition
'Believe Anything' opens on huge synths and a chanted refrain, and climbs from there. This is Holy Holy gone electronic. 'The Aftergone' pairs guitar riffs with Auto-Tune. 'Port Rd' hands a verse to an MC and brings in a choir of voices. The title track is spoken word laid over orchestration. 'Stand Where I'm Standing' is eighties synth rock, a guitar solo cutting through. 'Shoreditch' and 'So Tired' sink into long washes of sound. Then 'Here And Now'. Piano, voice, stillness.

About the album.
Hello My Beautiful World is the fourth studio album from Australian indie rock duo Holy Holy, released on 20 August 2021 through Wonderlick and Sony Music. Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson made it during lockdown, working long distance, and used it to push their sound into electronic pop, with synths and electronic production brought to the front and Dawson's guitar still in the mix. It was also their most collaborative record to that point. Kim Moyes and Gab Strum contributed additional production, synthesisers and programming, Sydney siblings Clews feature on 'The Aftergone', and Sudanese-Australian MC Queen P appears on lead single 'Port Rd'. Ryan Strathie plays live drums, with strings arranged by Toby Alexander and harp from Emily Sanzaro. Carroll and Dawson produced the album themselves, Dawson mixed it and Leon Zervos mastered it. The title track is a spoken word piece set to orchestration, 'Stand Where I'm Standing' leans into eighties synth rock, and closer 'Here And Now' pares back to piano and voice. The album debuted at number 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart, the band's highest peak at the time, and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2021 ARIA Music Awards and for Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards. This pressing is the limited edition clear vinyl LP.
