About the album.
Plastic Beach is the third studio album from Gorillaz, an electronic pop record first released in March 2010 on Parlophone. Produced primarily by Damon Albarn, it gathers a large guest cast including Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, De La Soul, Bobby Womack, Lou Reed, Mark E. Smith, Little Dragon, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, alongside the National Orchestra for Arabic Music and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. The album is framed around Plastic Beach HQ, a floating island in the South Pacific built from the washed-up debris of humanity, and produced the singles Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish and On Melancholy Hill. It debuted at number two in both the UK and the US. This limited edition is a half-speed master on a single LP, pressed on blue, green and orange vinyl, with each copy individually hand-pressed so colour blends vary from record to record.
