About the album.

Gorillaz' 2001 self-titled debut is an alternative, trip-hop-leaning record that moves freely through dub, hip-hop, punk and Latin grooves. Created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, it introduced the virtual line-up of 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs and Noodle, with Hewlett's visual world as central to the project as the music. Recorded at Studio 13 in London and Gee Jam Studios in Jamaica, the album produced singles including Clint Eastwood, 19-2000 and Rock The House, with guest voices from Miho Hatori, Tina Weymouth and Ibrahim Ferrer. This limited edition presses the album across two LPs in a three-colour blend of camouflage green, brown and black. Each disc is individually hand-pressed, so the pattern differs from copy to copy.
