About the album.

Originally released in 1999, Temperamental is Everything But The Girl deep in their electronic era, following the shift they made with Walking Wounded. Built around house, garage, trip-hop textures and Tracey Thorn’s unmistakable voice, the album includes singles such as “Five Fathoms,” “Blame,” “Temperamental” and “Lullaby of Clubland.”

It also became the duo’s final studio album before their long break, with Fuse not arriving until 2023. That gives Temperamental extra weight in the catalogue: not just another late-90s electronic record, but the closing chapter of Everything But The Girl’s original run. For Juicy, this sits beautifully in the Accent shelf. Elegant, nocturnal, emotionally sharp and built for anyone who likes their dance records with a little rain on the window.

This edition is a pressing on Buzzin’ Fly, presented as a 2LP edition.
