Strong Feelings is the pretty one, bass carrying the melody the vocal won't. Her Hippo and More Big Birds stretch out, more patient, more room in the low end. Every Day Carry runs seven and a half minutes and takes its time leaving. Deadpan over a very good rhythm section.

New Long Leg is the 2021 debut album from South London post-punk band Dry Cleaning, released on 4AD and produced by John Parish. It follows a simple division of labour: Tom Dowse, Lewis Maynard and Nick Buxton build taut, melodic post-punk underneath, while Florence Shaw delivers found language and overheard phrases in a flat, spoken monotone on top. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and made Dry Cleaning one of the decade's defining British guitar bands, drawing on the art rock and new wave lineage 4AD has been documenting since the early eighties. Recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales in mid 2020, mixed at Invada and mastered at Loud Mastering. This is the black vinyl edition, with a printed inner sleeve and a four-page insert carrying the lyrics.
