About the album.

Vera is the debut album from Crooked Colours, the Australian electronic project conceived in Perth in 2013 by producer and vocalist Philip Slabber with fellow producer Leon Debaughn, later joined by drummer Liam Merrett-Park. It arrived on 23 June 2017 through Sydney label Sweat It Out!, following their 2014 EP In Your Bones, and gathered several years of singles into one warm, cohesive record.

Australian rapper Ivan Ooze appears on "I Hope You Get It", the album's second single. Cassian Stewart-Kasimba mixed the record and co-produced the closing track "Perfect Run", a six-minute piece that lets the album drift out rather than land hard.

Opening track and lead single "Flow" was later certified Platinum by ARIA, with "I Hope You Get It" certified Gold. Vera was the record that carried Crooked Colours out of Perth, and it still sounds like the summer it was made for.
