About the album.
Released in 1990, Heaven or Las Vegas is the sixth studio album from Cocteau Twins and their final release for 4AD. It became the band’s most commercially successful record, reaching number seven on the UK Albums Chart.
Produced by Robin Guthrie, the album continues the layered guitar textures and detailed studio production that defined the group’s 1980s output, while placing greater emphasis on melodic structure and rhythmic movement. Elizabeth Fraser’s vocal performance remains central, framed by tightly constructed arrangements.
