About the album.

Blue Bell Knoll is a dream pop and ethereal record released in September 1988, the fifth studio album by Cocteau Twins. The band wrote and produced it, and the London independent label 4AD released it. This was their first album to receive major label distribution in the United States, licensed by Capitol Records from 4AD for North American release. It reached number fifteen on the UK Albums Chart, and Carolyn's Fingers went to number two on the US Alternative Airplay chart. Elizabeth Fraser named the album after a peak in southern Utah called Bluebell Knoll, and sang the record in a language of her own invention. This edition is the 4AD reissue on 180-gram vinyl, remastered from HD audio, with a heavyweight full-colour printed inner sleeve carrying the credits.
