Bonobo - Black Sands (Vinyl 2LP)
180g • Double LP • Printed Inner Sleeves
Strings and horns arranged like a small band. Beats that swing rather than click. Harp, mandolin, bass clarinet, xylophone, played, not pasted. A voice arrives three times across four sides, and each time it changes the weather. Everything sits warm and close, and the low end does the walking.

About the album.
Black Sands is the fourth album from Simon Green, recording as Bonobo, released by Ninja Tune in 2010. Green wrote and produced the record and plays most of it himself: bass, guitar, keyboards, Fender Rhodes, harmonium, piano, double bass, harp, mandolin and xylophone.
Andreya Triana sings on three tracks: "Eyesdown," "The Keeper" and "Stay The Same," co-writing each. The arrangements draw on a wide cast of players: Mike Simmonds on violin and viola, Mike Lesirge on flute, saxophone and clarinet, Alan Hardiman on trombone, Ryan Jacob on trumpet, Tom Chant on saxophone and bass clarinet, Jack Wyllie on saxophone, with Graham Fox and Jack Baker on drums.
The album was mastered and cut at The Soundmasters, with lacquers by Lex van Coeverden, and pressed by MPO. Design and art direction are by Oscar & Ewan, with photography by Pelle Crépin.
