About the album.

Spells is the 2016 album from Berlin-based composer and producer Ben Lukas Boysen, released on Erased Tapes, and it sits where electronic production meets modern classical writing. Boysen builds the record from programmed piano pieces set against live instrumentation, with cello, harp, guitar and drums played around the sequenced parts. It arrived alongside the label's reissue of his earlier album Gravity, and the four Nocturne movements run across both records as a connecting thread. Nils Frahm mixed and mastered the album. This UK pressing includes a poster and a download code.
