About the album.

Pylon is the fourth studio album from beabadoobee, a heavier alternative rock record that draws on classic grunge, midwest emo and the radio rock of the 1990s. Beatrice Laus wrote it on the road while touring This Is How Tomorrow Moves, the 2024 album that gave her a first number one on the UK Official Albums Chart.

The new songs push her guitar sound towards a rawer, more immediate edge than anything on her earlier records. She shaped the album with a striking circle of collaborators, including Hayley Williams, Turnstile's Brendan Yates, Deftones' Chino Moreno and Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall.

Fourteen tracks run across a single LP, opening with the title track 'Pylon' and closing on 'Satellite'.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Laus built her following across five EPs and three albums. Fake It Flowers reached number 8 in the UK in 2020, and Beatopia climbed to number 4 in 2022, before This Is How Tomorrow Moves went all the way to the top.

This edition is pressed on Sea Foam coloured vinyl. For listeners who came in through the softer songs of Beatopia, Pylon is where the amps get turned up.
