Band Of Horses – Everything All The Time (Vinyl LP)
Black Vinyl • Sub Pop Pressing
"The First Song" opens on a wash of organ and a voice pitched high and drenched in reverb, with the guitars arriving late and quiet. Reverb is the instrument on this record, on everything, all the time. "The Funeral" builds on a guitar figure that keeps climbing until the drums break open behind it. "The Great Salt Lake" rides a chugging riff at twice the tempo of anything near it. "Weed Party" is the loose one, ragged and unbothered. "Monsters" drops to almost nothing, a single guitar held long enough to decay under the vocal. "St. Augustine" closes with the band playing softly beneath the vocal until it thins out.

About the album.
Everything All The Time is the debut album from Band Of Horses, an indie rock record built on reverb-heavy vocals, ringing guitars and a folk rock undertow. It was released through Sub Pop on 21 March 2006 and runs ten tracks across two sides. Ben Bridwell formed the band in Seattle in 2004, after close to ten years in Carissa's Wierd. The album was recorded at Avast Studios in Seattle and produced by Phil Ek with the band. It contains new versions of five of the six songs from the band's 2005 Tour EP, some carrying different titles. "The Funeral" was the lead single, released in May 2006, with "The Great Salt Lake" following that in August. This is the standard Sub Pop black vinyl pressing.
