About the album.

Bring Backs was Alfa Mist's first release for Anti-, following Antiphon (2017) and Structuralism (2019), both self released on his own Sekito label. The East London pianist, producer and rapper wrote and produced the whole record, playing electric piano and synth, with a core band of Jamie Leeming on guitar, Kaya Thomas-Dyke on bass guitar, Jamie Houghton on drums and Johnny Woodham on trumpet, expanded by Sam Rapley on tenor saxophone and bass clarinet, Peggy Nolan on cello and Junior Alli-Balogun on percussion. Richard Spaven plays drums and Rocco Palladino plays bass on the closing track "Organic Rust". Running through the album is a poem by Hilary Thomas, read across three tracks, about the realities of building a life in a new country. Kaya Thomas-Dyke sings on "People" and Lex Amor guests on "Mind The Gap". It was recorded by Ed Deegan at Gizzard Studios and Simon Trought at Soup Studio, both in London, mixed by Will Holland at Selva Studios and mastered by Guy Davie at Electric Mastering. Kaya Thomas-Dyke also made the artwork.
