About the album.
Originally released on 6 October 2023, Ghosts is the third solo album by Polish composer, pianist and vocalist Hania Rani. It was released through Gondwana Records.
The album expands Rani’s sound beyond solo piano into a wider space of voice, electronics, strings and collaborative arrangements. It features contributions from Patrick Watson, Ólafur Arnalds and Duncan Bellamy of Portico Quartet, with string arrangements by Viktor Orri Árnason, mixing by Greg Freeman and mastering by John Davis at Metropolis Studios.
Moving between intimate piano-led passages, ambient electronics, vocal presence and cinematic scale, Ghosts is one of Rani’s most expansive records. It holds stillness and movement in the same frame, creating a record that feels deeply atmospheric without losing its emotional centre.
This edition is pressed on 2LP black vinyl.
