The Killers - Hot Fuss
Black Vinyl
Hot Fuss arrives fully dressed. Black eyeliner. Neon lights. Big choruses. Bad decisions. The Killers sound like a Las Vegas band trying to turn British indie clubs into arena rock, and somehow landing right in the middle. Guitars flash. Synths glow. Brandon Flowers sings every line like the night has already gone too far. Mr. Brightside is the obvious monster, but the record has more bite than one anthem. Somebody Told Me struts. Smile Like You Mean It aches under the shine. All These Things That I’ve Done throws its arms open and refuses to come down. Loud shirts. Sharp hooks. Romantic panic. Hot Fuss is ridiculous in all the right ways.

About the album.
Originally released on 7 June 2004, Hot Fuss is the debut studio album from Las Vegas band The Killers. Released through Island Records, the album fused post-punk revival, new wave, synth-pop and early-2000s indie rock into one of the defining mainstream alternative debuts of the decade.
Produced by Jeff Saltzman and The Killers, with Brandon Flowers producing Everything Will Be Alright, the album introduced the band’s sharp mix of nervous energy, theatrical hooks and widescreen ambition.
Featuring Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Mr. Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, Somebody Told Me and All These Things That I’ve Done, Hot Fuss moves between jealousy, glamour, paranoia and pure dancefloor release.
It remains a key early-2000s indie rock record. Flashy, dramatic, over-lit and still built to fill a room.
