About the album.
Released in 1979, London Calling is the third studio album by The Clash.
Produced by Guy Stevens, the album captures the band at a point of rapid expansion, moving beyond the constraints of early punk into a broader, more eclectic sound. Drawing on reggae, ska, rockabilly, R&B and pop, the record balances stylistic range with a consistent sense of urgency.
