About the album.

Released independently through Raye's own Human Re Sources label in March 2026, This Music May Contain Hope is the follow-up to her breakthrough debut My 21st Century Blues and an enormous leap in scope and ambition. Written and co-produced with collaborators including Mike Sabath, Tom Richards, Pete Clements, and Hans Zimmer, the album blends jazz, big band, blues, orchestral pop, and soul into a single 73-minute arc structured around the four seasons, each side of the double vinyl representing a different chapter of the journey. Features span generations: legend Al Green appears on Goodbye Henry, Zimmer on Click Clack Symphony, and Raye's grandfather Michael, a former songwriter whose work had previously gone uncredited, co-wrote and recorded Fields with her in London. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and topped charts in multiple countries, receiving universal critical acclaim.
