About the album.

Released on 5 May 2017, Staring At You Staring At Me is a studio album by Melbourne band Underground Lovers. Released through Rubber Records, the album continued the band’s long-running exploration of indie rock, dream-pop, shoegaze and electronic textures.

Produced by Glenn Bennie and Vincent Giarrusso, the record moves through themes of alienation and loss while shifting between different musical moods and textures. Tracks including Unbearable, Seen It All, St Kilda Regret and Glamnesia show the band still working in that space between atmosphere, melody and unease.

Layered, nocturnal and quietly restless, Staring At You Staring At Me is a late-period entry in the Underground Lovers catalogue that still carries the band’s unmistakable pulse.
