Dream It Down opens on guitar drone and a vocal that barely lifts above speaking. Losin' It rides a programmed beat, strings sawing over the top, guitar wash behind. Recognise stretches past eight minutes circling one figure, and Recognise Dub cuts the same material back to rhythm. Blues Team (Only Thinkin') runs violin across the top and is done in two and a half minutes. Cello sits under Superstar with bells ringing high above it. Las Vegas comes in on piano, then trombone and baritone sax lean in at the edges. Va Va Va Va brings acoustic guitar forward and is over in under three minutes. Violin runs right through Earth Manna and the album proper ends there.

About the album.
Dream It Down is the third album by Melbourne indie rock band Underground Lovers, first released in June 1994 on Polydor and the second and final record of their contract with that label. It pulls the band's guitar drone toward electronic production, with programmed rhythms and keyboards worked in alongside cello, violin and horns. The album was named Australian album of the year by triple j, and lead single Losin' It landed at number 19 in the station's Hottest 100 for 1994. This 30th anniversary edition is the first time the album has appeared on vinyl, remastered and pressed on white across two LPs. Side D gathers B sides from the era, and an unlisted track called Light closes side C.
