About the album.
Released in 2020, Shore is the fourth studio album from Fleet Foxes. Written and led by Robin Pecknold, the album was recorded across multiple studios, including Long Pond Studio in upstate New York and Electric Lady in New York City.
Spanning 15 tracks, the record broadens the band’s indie-folk foundation with fuller instrumentation and a more fluid structural approach. While the layered vocal harmonies remain a defining feature, Shore introduces a brighter tonal palette and increased rhythmic drive.
Within the band’s discography, the album marks a clear stylistic shift toward openness and forward motion.
