About the album.

Released in November 1993, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is the debut of the nine-member Staten Island crew and one of the foundational records of East Coast hip-hop. Produced, mixed and arranged by RZA (credited as Prince Rakeem "The RZA") for Wu-Tang Productions, it was recorded and mixed at Firehouse Studio in New York and mastered at The Hit Factory. The album fuses stripped-back, sample-heavy production with soul cuts and dialogue from the 1981 Hong Kong film Shaolin & Wu Tang, featuring dense, competing lyrical performances from the full Clan. It is widely regarded as a landmark of the genre and appears on numerous all-time-greatest-album lists.
