About the album.

Originally released on 27 June 2025, Virgin is the fourth studio album from New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde. Released through Universal Music New Zealand and Republic Records, the album marked her first full-length release since Solar Power and a bold shift into a rawer, more transparent sound.

Co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, with additional contributions from Dan Nigro, Dev Hynes, Fabiana Palladino, Buddy Ross and others, Virgin moves through synth-pop, electropop, dance-pop and art pop with a stripped-back emotional intensity.

Featuring Hammer, What Was That, Shapeshifter, Man of the Year, Favourite Daughter and David, the album explores identity, femininity, transformation and self-exposure with Lorde’s sharpest writing pushed into a more physical, unfiltered space.
