About the album.

Originally released on 23 August 2024, Romance is the fourth studio album from Fontaines D.C. Released through XL Recordings, it marked the band’s first album with producer James Ford.

Following Skinty Fia, the album signalled a shift in sound and scale, moving beyond the sharper post-punk identity of their earlier records into a wider mix of alternative rock, synth texture, cinematic mood and distorted pop energy.

Featuring Starburster, Favourite, Here’s the Thing and In the Modern World, Romance captures Fontaines D.C. sounding bigger, stranger and more emotionally exposed.
