Originally released in 2020, A Hero’s Death is the second studio album from Irish band Fontaines D.C. Arriving less than 18 months after their breakthrough debut Dogrel, the record marked a more restrained and atmospheric shift in the band’s sound.

Featuring A Hero’s Death, I Don’t Belong, Televised Mind and I Was Not Born, the album explores themes of identity, pressure, exhaustion and self-belief with a darker, more repetitive intensity. The record was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards, confirming Fontaines D.C. as one of the defining guitar bands of their generation.
