About the album.
Released in 2013, Calendar Days is the second studio album from Dick Diver. Recorded with producer Mikey Young at a beach house on Phillip Island, the album broadens the band’s sound while retaining their measured, guitar-driven foundation.
The record expands its instrumentation to include saxophone, keyboards, pedal steel and piano, alongside songwriting contributions from all four members. Shared vocal duties and layered arrangements give the album a loose but purposeful structure.
Within Melbourne’s independent scene, Calendar Days marked a significant step forward in scope and cohesion, consolidating Dick Diver’s position in contemporary Australian indie.
