About the album.

Nirvana's debut album, recorded at Reciprocal Recording Studios in Seattle, Washington between December 1988 and January 1989, and released by Sub Pop on June 15, 1989. Produced by Jack Endino for a total of $606.17 — funded by Jason Everman, who was credited on the sleeve as guitarist but played no notes on the record. The main sessions featured Kurt Cobain (vocals, guitar), Krist Novoselic (bass), and Chad Channing (drums); three tracks — "Floyd the Barber", "Paper Cuts", and "Downer" — feature Melvins drummer Dale Crover from an earlier 1988 session. Bleach did not chart on initial release but peaked at No. 89 on the Billboard 200 and No. 33 on the UK Albums Chart following the breakthrough of Nevermind in 1991. This SP034 pressing is the single-LP remastered reissue, featuring the full remastered album as found on the Bleach Deluxe Edition, with a printed inner sleeve.
