About the album.
New Order's second album, released in 1983, was the first album the band produced themselves. Recorded at Britannia Row Studios in Islington, it blends pop melody, synthesiser sequencing and dance rhythm across eight tracks, including "Age of Consent," "The Village", and "Your Silent Face." The album peaked at No. 4 on the UK albums chart and has since been recognised in Rolling Stone's Top 500 Albums of All Time. This edition features the 2020 remaster, previously available only in the Power, Corruption & Lies: Definitive Edition box set. Peter Saville's sleeve, Fantin-Latour roses, colour-coded alphabet, remains one of the most recognisable in the catalogue.
