About the album.
For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) was originally released in 2016 on Proibito, and this 2025 repress brings Huerco S.'s defining ambient statement back to vinyl. Brian Leeds, the producer behind Huerco S., is known for sharp left turns shaped by an unusual musical upbringing spanning new age, grindcore, and house, and this record marked one of his biggest: a deliberate move away from the muted kick drums that defined his earlier work toward a fully ambient sound. The album was named one of the best ambient albums of all time by Pitchfork shortly after release, a position it has barely budged from in the decade since. Nine tracks of dense, meditative tone, equally suited to close listening or the background of a slow evening.
