About the album.

Boulevard is the deep house and acid jazz album St Germain released through F Communications in July 1995, and it was reissued as a 30th anniversary edition in September 2026. It was Ludovic Navarre's debut album under the name, written, produced and mixed by him at The Magic House Studio.

The record sits at the front of what became known as French touch, arriving eighteen months before Daft Punk's Homework, and it got there by a different route. Rather than filtering disco, Navarre built long house tracks around live jazz playing and left them room to run, with four of the eight pieces past nine minutes. Live contributions come from Malik Mezzadri on flute, Édouard Labor on saxophone, Pascal Ohsé on trumpet, Alexandre Destrez on piano and Miguel "Punta" Rios on percussion. Geneviève Gauckler designed the sleeve, with photography by Duc Liao.

Boulevard was certified diamond by the Independent Music Companies Association in 2009, marking sales of at least 250,000 copies across Europe. Navarre followed in 2000 with Tourist for Blue Note. This edition holds the original eight-track vinyl running order across four sides.
