Lopatin produced and mixed it with Paul Corley at Greenhouse Studios in Iceland, and Valgeir Sigurðsson mastered it. The cover is taken from George Schwizgebel's 1982 animated film Le ravissement de Frank N. Stein, with additional artwork by Robert Beatty. The album was widely acclaimed and appeared on numerous 2013 year-end lists.
